RACHAEL FAKE, OWNER OF BESPOKE SECRETARIAL SOLUTIONS
After serving as an engineering officer in the British Army for 8 years, I was fortunate to gain a position as the PA to the Group Finance Director of the London Stock Exchange Group plc. I subsequently moved with my manager to Close Brothers Group plc before leaving to launch Bespoke Secretarial Solutions in August 2008. My varied background has provided me with a wealth of experience and the confidence and ability to problem solve – essential when self-employed.
I seek to build long-term relationships with clients, as I believe the greater the level of understanding I have of a client’s needs, then the more effective (and efficient) the support I can provide. I want to be in a position where I can represent my client appropriately in all dealings with their colleagues and clients, with minimum recourse to the client. As the relationship develops in this way, the client will have the confidence to delegate an increasing workload to me, freeing up their time to concentrate on the really important aspects of their business and personal lives.

Demonstrating that the vast majority of secretarial and administrative work can be carried out remotely, I currently live and work in Germany, but have continued to support my clients in the UK. I travel to the Wiltshire/Hampshire area approximately every 3 weeks to meet with those clients who require a greater degree of personal contact, and hope to return to the region permanently early next year.
